Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese art, is based on the concept of "consciously occupying" one's environment. It is the art of arranging space—whether interior (house) or exterior (garden)—by identifying and optimizing the flow of Qi (natural energy). Feng Shui is both an ability to observe nature and a practice aimed at improving one's living environment. By respecting its principles, one seeks to create harmony that will have a positive influence.
The art of Feng Shui
Literally translated as "wind" (Feng) and "water" (Shui), Feng Shui is a dynamic energy flow .
| Feng | Shui | Feng+Shui |
| " wind " | " water " | |
| Qi vector (vital energy) | An attractive force that has the power to gather, retain, and concentrate Qi | Complementarity and interaction of Qi diffusion and concentration |
| An invisible force that carries and diffuses vital energy | Adaptability, transformation, ability to attract and retain positive energy in a place | Dynamic energy flow: vital energy is constantly in motion but also nourished |

It is based on two fundamental principles: the balance between opposing forces (Yin and Yang) and the interaction of the five natural elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) which must be present together in harmonious proportions.
| Balance between Yin and Yang | |
| Yin | Yang |
| Passivity, Darkness, Coldness, Receptivity, Feminine | Activities, Clarity, Warmth, Generosity, Masculine |
| Relaxes, opens the mind, stimulates the imagination, creative side, flexible | Active, precise, confident, tense, fast |
| Theory of the 5 elements | |
| Elements | Symbolic |
| DRINK | Growth and vitality |
| FIRE | Expansion and transformation |
| EARTH | Stability and food |
| METAL | Concentration and reflection |
| WATER | Adaptability and change |

| DRINK | FIRE | EARTH | METAL | WATER | |
| Seasons | Spring | Summer | End of summer | Autumn | Winter |
| Cardinal points | East and Southeast | South | Central, southwest and northeast | West and northwest | North |
| Shapes | Rectangle | Triangle | Square | Round | Curves |
| Colors | Green | Red | YELLOW | White | Black, blue |
| Natural influx | Wind | Heat | Humidity | Drought | Cold |
| Activities | Development | Dynamic | Conservation | Endurance and resistance | Nourishing and fortifying activity |
| Emotions | Enthusiastic | Expressive | Serene | Playful | Peaceful |
| Sense organ | View | Taste | To touch | Smell | Hearing |
From these balances, from this good circulation, will flow a positive attitude, thoughts and emotions, linked to our health, our personal and professional life.
Feng Shui at the Enchanted Rooster estate
It was during trips to Asia that Anne-Sophie, owner and creator of Le Coq Enchanté, discovered and learned about the art of Feng Shui.
When she imagines and designs the Domaine as a true haven of peace dedicated to well-being, it is only natural that she chooses to apply the principles of harmony and energy balance of Feng Shui.
A spiritual and aesthetic approach
At Domaine du Coq enchanté, everything has been meticulously designed to promote relaxation and serenity for guests.
The living spaces have been arranged to allow energy to flow freely. The choice of colors, materials, furniture, decorative elements… is based on the balance between the forces of Yin and Yang and on the harmony between the five elements.
Not limited to physical layout, the art of Feng Shui also influences the atmosphere of spaces. At the Domaine, particular attention has been paid to sounds and silences, soft and natural lighting, and even scents (scented candles, fireplace, flowers…), creating an environment that is both relaxing and energizing.
The garden: a natural Feng Shui space
At the heart of the garden lies the soothing presence of water, forming a meditation pool. All around, winding paths allow for the harmonious flow of Qi, and tree and flower species have been chosen for their uniqueness, shape, color, or fragrance, offering a peaceful view of the surrounding landscape. The Enchanted Rooster Garden invites contemplation, slowing down, breathing, relaxing, and reconnecting with nature. Relaxation areas have also been strategically placed throughout. Open to nature yet sheltered, they offer an intimate and tranquil atmosphere.

A place for rejuvenation

Thanks to her Feng Shui approach, Anne-Sophie has transformed the Domaine into a welcoming and balanced space where every detail contributes to a sense of well-being, where everyone can recharge and find inner peace. Visitors leave with a feeling of renewal, revitalized by the positive energy that flows through the spaces.
Far from being a simple method of decoration, Feng Shui proves to be a true philosophy of life, and at the Domaine, it becomes an experience in its own right, serving the well-being of the guests.
